The rules every guide on this site follows. If a page does not meet them, write to us and we will fix it.

Where the facts come from

Every claim about a product comes from one of three places: the brand's own product page, the brand's published return and money-back terms, or buyer reviews on the brand's site and major retailers. We name which when it matters, and we do not state a feature the brand does not state.

How products are scored

Every product gets the same five scores out of ten, and the overall grade is their average. The method is on our how we rank page and does not change from guide to guide. A product that scores below 7.0 is not ranked.

What we will not publish

• Features, prices or guarantees that are not on the brand's official page.
• Reviews or quotes we did not read ourselves.
• A score or ranking position changed in exchange for payment.
• Health or safety claims a maker does not make.

Commercial links

Some links on our guides pay us a commission when you buy. That is stated on every page where it applies and in full on our disclosure page. It does not change the price you pay.

Updates and corrections

Each guide carries the date it was last updated and the date its prices were last checked. When a brand changes a price, discount or guarantee, the guide is updated and the date moves. Our corrections policy explains how to report an error and what happens next.
